Sealand Gear Ambassador Roushanna Gray

I am discovering that the more I learn in this journey into our edible landscape, the more there is to learn – hopefully I can ignite a spark of curiosity in others too, and that the knowledge is shared.

I live and work at the Good Hope Gardens Nursery in Cape Point, and head up Veld and Sea, which offers seasonal and sustainable foraging classes, workshops and collaborative events.

Inspired by the local edible indigenous plant availability, I have been working with the exciting flavours and diversity of indigenous plants for the past eight years. The wide range of delicious and nutritious culinary offerings from the beautiful inter-tidal rock pools along our coastline also play a major role in my cooking and classes.

I am passionate about what I teach, it is not just a job but an immersive lifestyle.
