Second Wave Just Hit Our Shores.

Second Wave Just Hit Our Shores.

Our pre-loved Sealand bags are ready for their next chapter, and they’re waiting for you!

Every Sealand bag is built to go the distance. And now, with the launch of our Second Wave resale program, that journey doesn't end when the first owner hangs up their straps. Instead, these well-travelled bags get a new lease on life - cleaned, refurbished, and made ready for more adventure.

This is gear with character. Bags that have braved the elements, hiked the trails, commuted, travelled, and returned stronger. And now, they're available once more - at a significantly reduced price - from our flagship store at the V&A Waterfront.

Why Second Wave?

We created this program to honour the durability of Sealand bags, and to keep quality gear in use, not in landfills. Here’s what Second Wave means for you, and the planet:

  • Lower Impact, Same Quality: Each Second Wave bag has been lovingly washed, repaired (if needed), and quality-checked. It’s the same Sealand durability, just with a few more stories.
  • Adventure, Responsibly: Buying second-hand extends a product’s lifespan by an average of 2.2 years - reducing its carbon, water, and waste footprint by over 70% compared to buying new (ThredUp Resale Report, 2023).
  • It Makes Cents: Second Wave bags are priced to reflect their circular value. Great gear, with a smaller impact and a smaller price tag.
  • Support WWF: 10% of revenue from all Second Wave sales is donated directly to WWF South Africa, helping protect the natural playgrounds we all love.

Come and See the Story

You’ll find Second Wave bags exclusively at our Sealand store at the V&A Waterfront. Each comes tagged with its past life, reconditioned and ready for the next adventure. Quantities are limited and no two bags are quite the same.

This is more than a second-hand offering. It’s a step toward a circular future, where products are valued for their full potential, not just their first outing.

The gear goes on. Be a part of its next chapter.
