What a weekend. What a community. What an energy.
At Retreat Yourself, we didn’t just show up - we settled in.
Over the course of the festival, our Sealand Lounge became a little sanctuary in the heart of it all: a space to pause, reconnect, and recharge between dam swims, workshops, local sounds and long, slow conversations. Surrounded by nature and like-minded people, it felt like the perfect meeting point between our world and theirs.
Why Retreat Yourself Felt Like Home
Retreat Yourself is more than a festival, it’s a space rooted in mindfulness, intention, and connection, it brings together a community that values:
- Conscious living
- Care for people and planet
- A deep connection to nature
- The balance between body and mind
- Slowing down to reconnect
It attracts a community of nature lovers, movers, thinkers, creators - people choosing to disconnect from the noise of modern life and reconnect with what matters.
For us at Sealand, that’s not just an audience. That’s our community.
The weekend allowed us to position Sealand not only as a brand creating durable products from waste, but as one that champions the spirit of the outdoors, health and wellness, and meaningful connection.

The Sealand Lounge: A Space to Pause and Play
Our full Sealand lounge and retail set-up invited festival-goers to explore the brand in a tactile, interactive way.
Throughout the weekend, we brought our craft to life:
🧵 Sip and Stitch
An always-on space in our Lounge for creating and playing. Watching waste materials transform into functional pieces reminded everyone what’s possible when creativity meets intention.
✂️ Sealand Stitch Workshop
Reusing waste sits at the centre of our craft. So we brought that philosophy with us.
At Sealand Stitch, adults and kids came together to customise their own tote bags using Sealand offcuts and outdated trims. What might have been waste became new stories - bright, personal, joyful creations shaped by many hands.

🔍 The Sealand Search
We also brought back the Sealand Search - a treasure hunt woven into the festival experience.
Participants drew a clue, tracked down hidden locations, solved riddles, and uncovered Sealand prizes along the way. It brought out curiosity, laughter, and a little friendly competition.
Craft, Community & Conscious Living
From lounge moments and hands-on making, to dam swims and cups of BOS tea under open skies - the weekend was a reminder of why we do what we do.
Reusing waste, creating with intention, and building products -and experiences - that honour both people and planet.
But more than anything, it was about community. To everyone who joined us, created with us, stitched with us, searched with us, and shared stories in our space - thank you. You brought the magic.
Let’s do it again next year?
