Your Sail, Our Craft
A truly customisable experience.
The ocean has always been part of Sealand’s DNA. From sailors and surfers to windsurfers and kitesurfers, we have always felt at home with people who see the ocean as their playground.
Your Sail, Our Craft brings that heritage to life in a completely personal way. Bring us a yacht sail, kite or windsurf sail that has been part of your own adventures, and we’ll transform it using one of our most loved Sealand designs into a bag that is uniquely yours. Made by our craftspeople in Cape Town, no two pieces will ever be the same.
Your adventures, your material, our craft. A true one of one, carrying the stories of where it has been and ready for wherever you take it next.

Previous Work

Bryan Habana
When South African rugby legend Bryan Habana came to us with some old rugby kit and the idea of giving it a new life, we knew there was an opportunity to create something special. We transformed pieces of his playing history into unique Sealand bags - a meaningful keepsake from an incredible career.
A little piece of the past, made for the next adventure for a true rugby legend.

Jared B
When Jared’s father-in-law passed away, he and his wife wanted to turn the sail from his yacht into something the whole family could keep. They hand-picked each panel and built a collection to share across the family: one-of-one pieces that honour his memory and are made to last for decades.
The sail that once carried him across open water now travels with his children and family, on weekend trips, beach days and everyday errands. Each bag is a small reminder of the man who loved the sea, and a way for his story to keep moving with the people he loved most.

John 'Dobbo' Dobson
The DHL Stormers have a goal to make Cape Town smile every week. And we love that about them! However, we had the opportunity to bring a smile to the face of Stormers Director of Rugby, John Dobson.
Dobbo is an avid sailor, and when he came to us with an old, badly damaged sail - which he retrieved from the bottom of a dam! - we jumped at the chance to upcycle it into a one-of-a-kind duffle bag which he can now use on any future sailing expeditions.
